The Endup

The Endup is to San Francisco what San Francisco is to America: as infamous as it is famous, laid-back yet urban, and crammed full of freaks who like to party. Known worldwide, the club has hosted some of the best DJs. Many of its patrons have been regulars for more than 10 years, and much of the staff has worked there for longer. It has been recognized by the mayor, featured in Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City, and even inspired a book, I Found God at the EndUp, by Miss Polly.

SF Xtremes

SF Xtreme has been part of the SFGSL(San Francisco Gay Softball League) and NAGAAA (Northern American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance) organization for the past five years. They are one of the most ethnically and age diversified teams locally and nationwide. They have players, both men and women, whom half are of Asian and Pacific Island background, proudly identifying themselves as either gay, lesbian, or bisexual. The team is a great example of the diverse melting pot that exist in San Francisco. They are the 2010 D Division champion of the league, and had the distinguish honor to represent San Francisco at 2010 World Series, held September 2010 in Columbus, Ohio. They are the first D Division team from San Francisco, to rank the highest at the World Series, placing 7th place out of 36 teams from North America.
Being part of SF Xtreme, not only involves playing softball. It is an opportunity to build camaraderie, leadership, community involvement, while living an active and healthier lifestyle. In the past two years, they've had the privilege to work with APIs to help empower and educate their players, and those involved with the team, a great awareness of HIV/AIDS and the risk it has in our community. SF Xtreme is a group of athletes that embodies GAPA's mission statement of building community, and empowering individuals to become leaders of their communities.
