Dear Gay Asian Pacific Alliance (GAPA) Members and Supporters,
First and foremost, thank you to the many community members of the LGBTQ Asian American, South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Pacific Islander communities that attended our San Francisco Mayoral Candidate interviews. We would also like to thank all the mayoral candidates who participated in GAPA’s endorsement process this election season. GAPA’s Mayoral Endorsement process this year was a comprehensive one, as we interviewed each candidate and analyzed their written responses to questionnaires regarding legislative priorities and prominent community and public policy issues at the forefront among LGBT Asian, Asian American, South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Pacific Islander communities.
A comprehensive analysis of the questionnaires and a detailed recommendations document will be released to the GAPA community on the week of October 17th, 2011. Today, we are pleased to announce Gay Asian Pacific Alliance Board of Directors’ three non-ranked San Francisco Mayoral Candidate Endorsements listed in alphabetical order by last name.

GAPA Board of Directors is proud to endorse these three candidates and faithful that these amazing community leaders will best represent, critically address, and keep at the forefront community issues that directly affect LGBT Asian, Asian American, South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Pacific Islander communities of San Francisco.
